Danby Station

I was  thinking about the power of water and what it must have been like to witness the river as it swelled  into a raging torent during Irene, slicing over the banks, biting  deeply into the soft belly of the earth  carrying away trees and animals. Driving down into Danby from the White Rocks Reservation we were hungry. A lovely late afternoon was looking for something to eat.
